As I sat down to write this column for March, I thought
to myself, “Hmmm, March. What to say? What to write?” Easter is in April
and Valentine’s Day has passed. I know. Why not write about March
itself? It won’t cost anything to read a few things about the month and
it might even enlighten you. So, here we go.
M - Mostly windy - Most
unforgiving - Most unpredictable.
A - Always holds a surprise
- Active weather patterns - Arrival of spring (maybe).
R - Rainy or snowy - Really
cold most of the time - Robins start to appear.
C - Cold most of the time -
Crocuses pop up at will - Coats and hats are still in use.
H - Hibernating critters
start to appear - High flying kites are seen in the sky - Hail and ice
still possible.
So, there are a few things about March that I know.
There is one more saying that I have heard ever since I can remember. If
March comes in like a lion (which it usually does), it goes out like a
lamb (not all the time). Spring is on the rise. One can only hope.
My thought for the month: Hang in there, as winter will
soon be gone.
