Done Christmas shopping yet? It is December, you know.
I’ve told you over and over to be done with Christmas shopping by July.
You didn’t if you still have people to buy for.
Let me help you. First, make a list of people to buy for
yet. Second, list some of the things the people on the list like or use.
Have a reader? Look for a bargain on books or magazine
subscriptions on the Internet or in stores; not expensive and easy to
shop for or wrap.
Have somebody with a sweet tooth? Bake something for
them and nestle it in a basket or box with candy or fudge that is
homemade.
Have a quilter? Fill a basket with scraps of different
colored material and threads. Tuck in a pair of scissors and a thimble.
Have a family with kids? Pack this box with jars of
peanut butter, homemade jelly or apple butter, instant cocoa packages,
bags of marshmallows, dry beans and noodles.
See how easy and inexpensive Christmas can be with a
list and your thinking cap. You can decorate the boxes and baskets with
whatever materials that you have on hand. I hope that this helps a
little. Next year think, “Shop early.”
May all of you have a blessed and happy holiday season.
