Cody Clark improved his record to 39-0 after winning all nine
matches, with five pins and 48 points, at the West Virginia Duals last
Friday and Saturday at Parkersburg South High School.

senior improved to 39-0 as he closes in on several CHS records.
Wrestling with 10 starters on Friday and nine most of Saturday,
Calhoun finished with a dual record of 5-4.
The Red Devils won against Springboro, 54-24; St. Albans, 54-6;
Wheeling Park, 44-30; Roane, 46-27; and Caldwell, 46-30. Losses were to
Parkersburg, 39-31; Ripley, 55-19; Lewis, 46-27; and George Washington,
42-36.
Other individual performances were by Austin Moore (8-1, 125 lbs.),
Jared Haught (8-1, 160), Levi Gordon (7-2, 103), Zach Hanshaw (7-2,
145), Ben Laughlin (7-2, 152), Caden Arnold (7-2, 215), Tim Sutro (4-2,
189), Christian Cottrell (5-4, 285), and Ricky Allen (3-6, 112).
Clark, a senior who has two state championships and a third place
finish, is moving up in the season and career record books for CHS.
He entered his final year with a record of 118-11, with 79 pins and
810 points. This season, he is 39-0, with 27 pins and 242 points.

His current totals (along with the school record) are as follows: 157
wins (165), 106 pins (new record), and 1,052 points (1076.5).
Three Red Devil wrestlers are chasing the season pin record: Clark
and fellow senior Tim Sutro each have 27 and junior Caden Arnold has 25.
The record is 32.

Clark is also closing in on the season mark for wins (45-2 by Ray
Burge and 44-0 by Justin Ashley and Chris Morris as best undefeated
mark). He also needs 62 points to surpass the season high of 303.5.
Ben Laughlin (105) became the 29th CHS
wrestler to pass the 100-win mark for his career. Caden Arnold should be
the 30th. He is at 97.
Calhoun will participate in the Little Kanawha Conference Tournament
at Roane County High School on Saturday at 11 a.m.
