Several weeks ago, I sent out an S.O.S. for help in the
survival of summer. I had hit the shore of surrender and I was trying to
decide if I would sink or swim. Now, here we are on the brink of
September. Labor Day is knocking at our door. The summer is almost over.
Thus, I must call an end to my S.O.S. series.
Originally, I asked for readers to open up their
scrapbooks and sift through the old photo albums. I hope you took a few
minutes to recall summers of long ago, and I hope you made memories this
summer to remember for many years to come.
Thanks for the chance to take a
walk with you down memory lane and visit summers past and present. My
original feeling of “save our ship” and “sink or swim” changed to a
peaceful journey through a “summer of stories.” I hope you all enjoyed
sailing along.
