We are having a new grandchild in the spring!
Jim and Lynn will add one more to their family. I try not to bore
people with stories of grandchildren, but it seems to slip out. I know
the reason grandmothers are so silly is the fact that life is such a
miracle and science cannot explain away its glory. We as grandmothers
are most blessed because we have the time, patience and experience to
pay attention to this amazing wonder.
There is a song from Bible School that seems appropriate when we
think of children:
I am a promise--
I am a possibility--
I am a promise
With a capital “P”
I am a great big bundle of potentiality!
And I am trying to make the right choices--
I am a promise to be--
Anything God wants me to be.
I dedicate myself anew to help my grandchildren keep that promise and
to be a stable part of their lives. This means that I must take care of
myself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Our grandchildren are God’s promise that
the world will go on.
