Volunteers are all over the place!
Check out our events calendar.
In last week’s Chronicle, you will find EMS, Bloodmobile, Historical Society, churches, Day
of Prayer, Alumni Association, town yard sale, free first aid classes,
Creston community, Minnora Mission, Lions Club, Athletic Boosters,
American Cancer Society, Community Garden, West Fork Riding Club, After
Prom event, Blue Grass Festival, Arnoldsburg PTO, Upper West Fork Park,
Wood Festival, Molasses Festival and CEOS.
There are also the ones visible in Grantsville, our
county seat: town improvement committee, Food Pantry, Minnie Hamilton
Auxiliary and EMS. The businesses who took the time to help
beautify the town by sweeping the streets, planting flowers, and
painting this coming weekend are also appreciated.
Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, and Learn and Share are
all groups for young people that do volunteer work in the county.
Why do people volunteer? Some of the answers: Because it
needs to be done. We want it for our children.
I like being out with people who share a common cause.
Calhoun County deserves recognition. We want to improve the outsider’s
opinion of our county.
When you come across these volunteers, please give them
a pat on the back.
They are the heart of Calhoun County!
