This is a time of year for awards and achievements,
especially for school students, from kindergarten through
college and adult learning. We like to hear about these success
stories, not just because of the person being recognized, but
also how it relates to Calhoun County.
This week we have features and articles showing Calhoun
Pride.
One is a story about a sister and brother, Margie and Will
Starcher, Calhoun descendants, who invented an item and won a
big award.
Another is a brief story about Drue Morris, WVU student, who
received scholastic achievement. She is a resident of
Pennsylvania, but claims that her heart is in Calhoun County.
These stories are examples of how the Calhoun way of life is
being spread around the country.
If you have a story to share about Calhouners, let the
Chronicle know. We would love to share it with our readers.
