According to State Police Corporal Fred Hammack on Tuesday evening, Michael Flanagan, 51, and Julie Flanagan, 52, were found dead by a family member earlier in the day.

The couple were fatally shot at their residence, .9 mile on Left Fork Creek Road, off Rt. 16 on Millstone Hill.

Hammack said the investigations are considered homicides. He added that they are looking into persons of interest.

Sgt. Michael Baylous, State Police spokesperson, said a woman called 911 to report her parents’ house had been broken into and both of her parents were dead.

The female victim was said to have been a former substitute teacher at Calhoun High School.

Corporal Jeff Hunt is the lead investigator and Hammack is assisting.
