The Stock the Pond fund is roughly half way to its
goal. I appreciate Minnie Hamilton’s generous donation. I urge members
of the community to donate to see this dream become reality.
I have also contacted Del. David Walker and his
response was very promising for next year. Unfortunately, its too late
to receive assistance for this year. He steered me in the right
direction to apply for funding for next year’s stocking.
If we go above our goal, I hope to stock some brood
fish into the pond. These are larger fish, usually over 20 inches and
can weigh four or five pounds. They are sure to bend the angler’s pole
while putting up a great fight. Everyone is invited to donate to the
“Stock the Pond” fund via Calhoun Banks.
